Default selecting the right cams

I got a 2007 street bob with a 96 in i want to change the cams for more power but i dont want to go too big and need to change out a bunch of other stuff. I also dont want to do dammage to any other parts. How big can i go and what else should i change to go with it? I got aftermarket intake and short shot pipes.

Read through the forum rules as to why you can't see the attachment.

Its a picture poking fun cause you're asking a VERY common question thats been answered and discussed MANY times in the past.

There should be a search function available to you on the top menu bar of the forum.

Good info can be found.

Im trying to help you out before you get flamed, not being a D*** in any way.

Good luck on your research.

Im doing the same.

It can be a confusing topic, so if you have lots of time you could use Search in the Tech Engine section, look for 'cams' and read through recent posts on the subject. As you mentioned Andrews cams are very popular and their 26 would be a good choice. You could just stop there and buy some!

OP, where do you want the power? Will you ever do headwork or bump the compression at all or increase displacement? How do you ride the bike? What is your end goal? All these questions need to be answered to help you choose the *right cam...And as stated by others, there are a thousand threads on this very subject; my suggestion would be to spend a few hours, then a few more hours searching and reading. Make notes along the way and you will have a better handle on where to go cam wise. If you do not want to do all of that, Andrews 48's!

Well i searched for a while and couldnt find anything specific. Im looking for power out the gate. Im not really a speed freak just like the power in reserve. I ride it every day (if weather permits) I definitely say i ride hard. Riding 16 years stock. Never even thot about cams till now. I look up suggested cams and it says no match for my bike.

Where are you looking? Andrews cams will fit all twincams of the correct model years. See their catalogue for your bike here.
