Just like the title states. Anyone buy one and have good results and more stable handling? Are there any other frame stabilizers that anyone is using?

I love mine and we have sold plenty of them with good feedback from customers...

I bought a used Progressive Touring Link about 3 weeks ago and installed it on my Ultra. Had I known how much difference it would make I would have paid full retail a long time ago. Not just hype in my opinion. I really noticed a bunch of difference on long sweepers, especially on our rough Okiehomie roads. Then a week ago I put a pair of 412 Progressives on it and never knew one of these pigs could ride and handle so well. The link was the real trick though.

Had 412s and a Progressive lowering kit on the bike I traded in. I'll probably put some drop ins in and get the Touring link. Should make a world of difference in handling.

Wink

Theirs is a cheap copy of others that are also available, notably True-Track, who are probably the original brand, and also make them for earlier models. Progressive cherry picking later models of bike. I've had a True-Track since long before Progressive came on the market with theirs, hence I haven't tried them.

They seem to miss the point of the additional stabilizer, by placing the point of action off-centre. For further reading on the benefits of the rear stabilizer read my introductory post here.

I put one on my 1996 RK. I couldn't live with the vibrations, so it came right back off. And yes, I followed all of the directions.

Huh, one nay sayer. To those of you that have them installed, are the vibrations really that bad? Could it just be the early models that have them installed. I couldn't see this as anything but a benefit, keeping the drive train from moving completely independently of the frame. Perhaps his front rubber mount may have been worn?

Mine is a '98 and I don't really feel any excessive vibration.
