Default Batwing reduced reach handlebars installed on 14 FLHTK

Does any one know why the batwing reduced reach handlebars not work with heated grips, I have 2014 Ultra Limited and would love to install the reduced reach bars for the long ride. Has anyone installed these on a FLHTK with the heated grips that come with the stock bars?

M buddy put he Harley reduced reach bars which come back two inches I think with his factory heated grips and had no problems. He has a 2014 ultra limited. Our Harley dealership in Mandan, North Dakota did them. He loves them so it can be done.

I've installed the Harley heated grips and can tell you the wires from the left side grip are just barley long enough to make it through the hole.
I could see how longer bars would be an issue.

I have reduced reach on my flhtkl and had heated grips installed no problem. They don't put heated grips on the low models because the grips are a smaller diameter than the standard limited. Guess they don't make heated grips in the small diameter version.
