Default SE high flow air intake

When my 2017 Fatboy arrives ,I'm having a SE high flow intake system along with Cobra pipes. installed. The service guy claims that the stock cleaner cover will work. I thought you would need a special cover to let more air in. What are your thoughts.

Don't know about Fatboys or 2017 but my SE intake uses the stock cover. There is plenty of airflow for a stock motor. If it's the same setup I suggest that you research relocating the breather tubes away from the throttle body.

For some reason I had the urge to waste money on a similar hi flo air cleaner set up the other day. I went with a Kuryakyn.
First ride there was oil all over my cam cover, oil mist all over BOTH rocker covers.
It made bean all difference to the already stellar stock Rushmore performance and now it will have to re-install the stock set up and not have people laugh at my $30,000 bike that weeps blood.

Just attach a couple of hoses to the breather and run it to a catch can.

It already flows plenty. Why not just replace the air filter with a K&N?
