Default Dyna 96 to a 103 upgrade qustions

To start off I have a 07 street Bob with the 96 motor. A buddy of mine upgraded his 2014 Dyna to a 110 so he wants to sell me his stock 103 top end and I could get a deal on it. Question is would it be worth the work going from the 96 to 103? Of course I would go ahead and change my cams to get more torque out of the deal. Just curious if anybody has done it on there Dyna before I go spending money on all the parts and a tuner. Thanks

If he's selling you the heads, cylinders / pistons. Go for it. You don't have to bore the cylinders if low mileage. Simply hone and re-ring. I'd go for something above mouse level, say porting the heads, milling a much as you feel comfortable with and a cam that gives you about 190-200 ccp. Most of how you go prends on the tuner and who's tuning. Yourself, Tmax, Reputable dyno shop, TTS, PV, Tmax (only if shop likes). I'm not too hot on attached systems like Power commander.
