Default 6 or 12 volt.
Can anyone tell me if the Harley Sportster 1200v Seventy-Two has a 6 volt or 12 volt battery

Walter, if you don't have an owners manual you can probably download one for free on the H-D website - go to the owners tab.

My new '74 Harley had a 12volt battery, indeed most bikes did from the '60s IIRC. How old is this 72?!
