Default Oil changing

Does anyone have any idea how I can get all the crank oil out of my 06 1200 Sportster. I've seen the adapters that connect to the oil filter fitting that you run the engine and pump the oil thru till the new comes out. Is there any other way? The service manual says to just drain the tank. But the case still has old oil left in it.

IMO, it ain't worth effort. Just drain the tank and change.

I've also got an 06 sporty, the way I get the old oil out of the crank is to take the filter off andput a bread sack over the motor where the filter goes and roll the starter over, but don't start the bike. two or three times should get most of it out, Enough to call it good anyway. [ it won't be much the crank only holds about a half quart ].
Goodluck,
Rock.

You can just drain and not worry about the remaining, or you can get a scavenger. Go to roguechopper.com and you can see them. The video shows how it works. It basically pushes the old oil out. I have one for my Evo, works great.[8D]

I would not worry about that last little bit.

Seems like a lot of trouble, just let it drain. Let itdrain over night if need be.
