Default 2010 Softail Deluxe collecting dust

I am looking at a 2010 Softail Deluxe that has under 3000 miles. It was sitting in a garage for some years due to owner passing away. Dealership cleaned it up, changed all fluids and says it rides great (I haven't tested it yet myself). Question I have is what types of issues could it experience within the next few years due to it not having been ridden for years. And is it better to leave something like this alone?

What's the price? Tires are 10 years old, well maybe but probably? I'd buy it and ride it. Leaks after setting that long would be my concern. But not much of one. Test ride it first.

Its on consignment and dealer is asking 9k, but I was thinking about having them ask seller if she will take 7K or 7.5K. I thought about leaks too with gaskets sitting for so long, but as you say that's not too big a problem, unless it's a head gasket or something like that which could take eat up some labor costs. My concern is more about the mechanical issues like gears, pistons, etc.

As long as it shifts fine and doesn't smoke I think that would be easy to forget about. I've often wondered, and understand about garage finds. The only question I've ever had, is it really 3000 miles or, 103,000? Guess you have to trust someone?

I am confident that it's only 3000, but I am going to do a VIN check on it for sure. Thanks for your input Bass Player. I don't play bass but I sure do love it. There are so many bass players that have come and gone, but my all time favorite is Larry Graham, the funk bass innovator.
