How to Black Out a Nightster
I am looking to buy a Nightster but I'm not really digging the grey engine. I like the blacked out look. This will be my first Harley so I'm not familiar with the terms for all of its components. Basically I want to black out the whole engine area like the Iron, Night Train, Night Rod, etc.
Is it expensive to do that? Can anyone give me a list of parts that I can get covers for, paint, powder coat, replace, etc. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks guys. I just got an e-mail from HD today about the new 2010 Sportster 48. Throw some black pipes on there and that is exactly what I'm looking for. The only problem is the cost. Great price for the bike at $10,500, but my budget is pretty tight. I'll probably end up doing the Iron with added aftermarket forward controls and 1200cc conversion kit.

That is a good idea. The new 48 has a peanut gas tank which is around 2.1 gallons. You may get 60 miles to the tank depending on how you ride. The stealership will also charge you $350 for your forward controls, but it may be beneficial to have them put it on once you buy and roll that cost into your payments. Have fun.

blacked out nightser
don't the 883 primary cover, transmission and rocker covers fit the nightster? Just from first inspection it would appear that they will. Anybody know for sure and does harley offer them for sale?
