Default Touring passenger peg mounts?

Hi I’m new to the forum and have a question about rear passenger foot peg mounts for my 2021 Road Glide Limited. I’m switching out the stock passenger floor boards for pegs. I don’t know whether to buy the short extension mounts or the longer curled mounts. I prefer the look of the short mount but I’m concerned the short mounts might hit the side covers or something else when folded up or don’t extend far enough out for passenger comfort. All comments welcome.

I don't know either, but I suspect they wouldn't hit anything, should be engineered enough to not do that. Head over to the welcome area and introduce yourself.

With only your reply(thank you) this membership & forum might be short lived for me so I’ll pass on the introduction for now.

I'm not sure what you mean by short or long? The specials are factory equipped with passenger pegs. When folded up, they don't hit anything. The mounting brackets (17 & 18) are side specific (right & left) and will bolt to your frame once you remove your brackets (16).

Stick around, your question would have likely received more views in the Touring sub-forum.

I wasn't aware of a longer curled mount ... parts listed by Barney are HD service parts ... Kuryakyn ( or other ) aftermarket manufacturers may offer alternatives ... I do have the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs attached to my OEM floorboard mounts https://www.kuryakyn.com/products/15...passenger-pegs

Thanks for replying barneyboy and uncle Larry. These are the longer curled ones from Harley the dealer said comes on the street glide special. The other photo I circled what I mean by long and short.

If I'm following you ... the difference between the #18 mount and the #16 mount is that the #18 is strictly for the peg style as the #16 is specifically for the floorboards ... While either will fit your chassis they are specific to the style peg/board that you choose
