my 1982 sportster needs new cam gears i found them but they have a Y stamped on the back of it but my has a Q on it dose it matter?

 

I've done some searching and can't find anything about this for you. Hope you already have your answer, but if not, call the dealer and ask them or an indy might also tell you. If nothing else ask a tech at S&S or another engine company.
