If everything was fine until recently, what other work have you done, if any? If none, suspect junk in the gas tank and carb. So drain, clean and flush the tank, remove the carb and clean the float bowl. If the carb is 25k miles old treat it to a rebuild kit, which will replace any perishable parts. Inspect and clean all the jets.
