Default Softail Deuce seat

I just purchased a 2007 Deuce. It had a low profile Corbin seat on it. Owner had the original seat, back rest and luggage rack. It's a funky set up where the back rest is in the way of the screw to bolt the seat down. When secured the seat rocks side to side and sits off the fender. Feels like ****. Has anyone had this problem? Thx

Default Deuce Seat

I had the same problem. I purchased a 2001 Deuce with a Corbin 2-Up Gun Fighter & Lady Seat. The mount for the seat could not be fully tightened down because it had to be pushed in to fit through the luggage rack and back rest upright. After it was in place I had to pull it back out trough the upright opening to screw it down.

I ended up getting a HD Sundowner seat for it. The Sundowner is flexible and you can bow it so you are able to get the mount through the opening in the upright. I still use the Corbin on occasions but only because I have removed the luggage rack and upright.

I hope this helps.

My '06 Deuce set up is the same as yours. I changed to a Sundowner seat but still have to fudge the funky bolt. It isn't that much of an issue in the grand scheme of things.
