Sent money to NASCARGUY via paypal on 7/5 for parts.
At first he responded saying shipping was delayed, and promising tracking info.
Now he has gone silent, ignoring my requests for refund.

In the past I was outspoken about not sending money as "gift", but I got slammed from many on here that said forum members should be trusted.
I actually had a change of heart and did it a few times without problem.
This time I have been burned.

Doesn't matter who "slams" you for sending money as a regular transaction. Members SHOULDN'T be trusted!! There is no vetting system here, anyone can make an account. I've had a ton of great transactions here and at other forums. But at least 2 transaction where I was happy I insisted on paying as a regular transaction instead of a gift.

I wish we had some sort of feedback system here for good & bad transactions after all isn't this a professionally ran forum. The AR15 forum I frequent has a very good system so it makes it easier to gauge things.

Not yet. PayPal is sounding promising.

 

Paypal finally got a response from him. He provided them a bogus tracking number for shipping. Paypal has ruled in my favor and is isuing me a refund of $165. They will recover that money from him.

Hell, I just wish the "Good or Bad Shopping Experiences At HDF" would show all of the posts, not just the current day's. When I open the forum, it only shows two threads:

At the bottom of that same page you can choose to display a whole years worth of posts if you want..

 

I never noticed it. I thought it was weird that this was the only forum it had this behavior in.
