samk9lover@***.net (that's his username) advertised a
Back Rest & Sissy Bar for sale and stated it was "like new".
I bought this to modify for use as a solo backrest and only this weekend had the chance to get all the hardware and do the install.
When I initially received the Back Rest & Sissy Bar I noticed some scrapes on the back of the bar. I chalked it up to some cargo on a rack scraping but it had been there for a while as there was signs of rust (see pics).
It's used, I get it but he stated "Like New" so I was kind of let down but still ok. I probably shouldn't have paid $165 for it AND I did the friends and family (I know, I offered to save some cash and I'm still ok with my decision).
I went to take the pad off to reverse it (as shown in the touring section, I was setting this up as a solo backrest) but 2 of the 3 screws were stripped and the nut was free spinning so you can't take the mounting plate all the way off. NOW I see how the scratches got there.
After I got the pad off I took some pics
I've bought and sold a lot of stuff on here, this is the first time I've been let down.
Sam hasn't responded to my PM about it, he's been online twice since I sent it.
