If anyone is interested in a fun ride on Sunday 12 Aug 2007 at 0800 Xtrain, Xbt2, myselfand a few of our riding friends will be meeting in Winnebago, IL at the local McDonaldson RT 20. From there we will ride to Galena, visited local sites and eventually find our way to New Diggings http://www.newdiggs.com/for lunch. At some point in the day we want to hit Iowa so we can say we rode 3 states in a day. If you need more info our plan to join us hit me up via PM.

 

Like to join you but this weekend will be spent preparing for 2 weeks in Alaska.

I plan to (have fun). A week on the coast in a 50' foot going a shore every day to shoot (photograph) coastal Griz's. Last time I did this, we got within 50 feet. They totally accepted the group and basically ignored us. Very humbling experience to that close to a wild animal and have them accept you. Then a week in back country Denali to catch the fall color.

of the two establishments in New Diggins, one of the owners was having a health issue and their hours of operation were limited. This is as of...a month or so ago.

Sounds like you're far enough downstate to make getting to the meeting point (or catching us later)a real challenge - but hopefullythere's a way you can make it work.
