I am eager to take my first Harley out this up coming season. I just barely rode at the end of last year.

Does anyone have a list of Poker Runs, or any Charity events or anything in the Illinois or Central Illinois (Blm, Peoria, Champai) area ? or internet links

I don't have a list but one I wouldn't miss is the Illinois Freedom Run. It starts in Joliet and goes to Marselles. Check it out at www.ilfreedomrun.com.

 

The chicago motorcycle event website has a lot of great rides, but watch it.....some of the events are not updated, so you might show up for something, and it not be happenin! I do some riding in the illinois Valley(Lasalle County) with my dad and his buddies. lots of great runs always going on. I'll will post them as i know.

 

One of the best events in the Quad City area is the three day free Sturgis on the River held on the Davenport side of the Mississippi River. Great rides north of the Quad cities along the river on both sides. The Illinois side on rte 84 has a biker bar in almost every little town. The biggist is Poopys in Savanna, Il.

 

Try the shops in your area,they usually know,AMA mag has an event section based on districts thru out the USA,my favorite for events in Southern Il is a magazine called Thunder Roads www.thunderroadsmagazine.com,I believe they distibute in other parts of the midwest,good luck and good riding it going to warm up soon
