I travel up there on business & have gone snowmobiling .......don't know the "scenic riding routes".........However (& this is an important one)
Watch Out For Deer.......I have had a few dart out in front of me over the years.
.......& on a side note, we have ran snowmobiles in the Porkupine Mountain area.......beautiful area.

We took a trip last summer to Copper Harbor, It was beautiful around the Penninsula. It does blow cold off the water. Stick with the shoreline drives its a great ride. We also did a ride thru Canada across the georgian bay and took the Ferry across at Trebomory. then head to Sudbury and back into Mi at the Sault. when you get off the ferry and your island hopping its great scenery all the way back to the sault.

Sticking with the shore line is the way to go. Not much on the very top except open road and beautiful country. On the Michigan side Leelanlau,Travercity Big Bear Dunes are all places to see.
In Lundington there is a nice little ice cream parlor..great food. I'll have to get the name, but its pretty big and maybe 5 blocks from the lake. Grand Haven Michigan has some cool places a long the inlet waterway (boardwalk). Holiday Inn is on the water.I did the trip a long time ago and it was great. We also have a cottage near Lundington.
