Breitbachs is located at 563 Balltown Road in Balltown The place offers classic Midwestern dishes including German ethnic foods They were recently shown on an episode of Food Network's Feasting on Asphalt 2 The River Run which showcased the restaurants quality pies History According to Midwest Living Breitbachs opened in 1853 as a stage coach stop On the other hand KOA says Founded in 1852 under a permit issued from President Millard Fillmore it's been owned by the Breitbachs since 1891 and is in its sixth generation of family ownership Breitbachs is the oldest continually operating restaurant and bar in the state of Iowa And is Motorcycle Friendly

Following our stop at Breitbach's,the plan's to ride north 44 miles along the Mississippi to cross the river into Wisconsin at Prairie Du Chien then work our way SouthEast towards 39/51 -I-90
and split up off towards home.

 

You know I'm up for it! I have been putting off going up there myself until I can ride with evryone. Ya know...though...I am going to have to pick up Lil'D again...She love's to hang with you guys and she would be a little ticked we were so close to home and didn't bring her to lunch!
