I did this trip with Johnny before, it was very well planned out and he did a great job. Well worth it if you can do it.

Johnny, Thanks for the reply. Can I throw out a round the lake spin to possibly add to the experience and scenery. For the month of May only the Lake Express high speed fairy across lower Lake Michigan is FREE to Motorcycles! Typically an 80$ ticket. The fairy travels from Milwaukee WI to Muskegon MI basically cutting off what I consider the "not so valued" part of the trip. (Gary IN, Downtown Chicago traffic, tollways). Depending on which direction you choose this might offer a scenic high speed shortcut. Take a look at the website, this is a very high end ride with bar, recliners, etc that might offer just the right amount of walk around time to hit MI fresh. Anyway, I'm the new guy so I don't want to screw with the pilgrimage just thought I would highlight a possible opportunity curve.
