Default My new (to me) trailer and hitch

Found a 2013 bushtec on craigslist, GT model with cooler package. The owner passed and it had only 2k miles on it. Picked it up for $2,000

$400 later, the shipping company dropped it off the other day.

Here are some pictures, excited to get out and use it!

Also added some pictures of the hitchdoc model # 15186 installed on my FLHRSI. Very good looking hitch, and it's hardly noticeable when you drop the receiver!

Looks like you got a good buy on a good trailer. You won't even know it's behind you.

If you are new to dragging a trailer, practice around town first. Give yourself room when jockying around gas pumps, planning where to park, giving yourself a little more to stop, and learning to load it properly. Never had a problem dragging mine, just balance the load.

That's a hell of a buy, for sure. Get the owners manual ( downloadable ) and read up. There are some things to know, and as Speleo said, load it properly. Tongue weight is important. Air pressure in the shocks is critical. I always have a pair of wheel bearings in the trailer ( just in case ) ... I ride with several guys who have the Bushtec units and it's pretty cool when we're all together ( usually heading to Sturgis ) 'cuz there's a "Roadstar" ... "Genesis" ... "Quantum" and a "Turbo"

Installed some LED replacements on the trailer. Did the tail lights and turn signals. Also replaced the interior light bulb with a cool running LED. Last but not least..I may have installed some auxillary lighting on the back of the trailer too!!! Can we say knight rider light? Looks great!
