Hey guys and gals. I have a friend who wants to convert his 1999, 1200 sportster to a trike. Most of the ads. specify kits for 2004 and up models. Anyone know if 1999's can be converted, what brand kits etc.? Pics would be great too. Thanks

 

Frankenstein offers a kit for the '99 ... I converted my 2008 and am not sorry I did so ... I would highly recommend putting on their raked trees as well ... the difference in steering effort is worth changing the trees ...

 

Freedom Rider is absolutely right. Frankenstein makes a great kit at a really great price that can be put on in about 4 hours using common shop tools, at home.

 

imo the frankenstien looks likes ***. but it is a good cheep kit and easy to install.

 

I have the Frankenstein kit and love it. It was easy to install and has a beefy mechanical look. However, if you want everything covered in fiberglass it's not the kit for you.
