Default GPS and mount

Been reading this morning all the different types of GPS and mounts all of you have.. It seems the Zumo 660 or 550 is a good one..Finding the right mount seems to be a personal matter. NOT using the cig lighter power is good news to know for damage to the tank and it could short out. My question is , " I want to use it both for my Trike and my vehicles "..What is going to be the best way to make that an easy switch to go back and forth as needed. Purchase two mounts? if its hard wire to bike than do the same for vehicle? Or can you use the cig lighter in the car? Open for suggestions as always...By the way, this forum has not been wrong yet on any of my mod's I have done......Someone needs to take a picture of all of you and give it to the HD dealers for helping them learn !!!

H-D has a windshield auto mount for the zumo 550 for 120 bucks. You would also mount it to the fairing or handlebar of your bike/trike with another mount of your choice. Yep, I guess you'd have to buy two mounts.
Maybe RAM has something to simplify the process (??)

+1; the Zumo 660 comes with:
Preloaded DCith Navigator North America or Europe
MapSource Navigator DVD North America or Europe
Motorcycle mount with intergrated power cable and mounting hardware
Carrying Case
Battery pack
Automotive suction cup mount**
Automotive power cable
UBS cable

Package contents may vary per version. See your local dealer for more information.
Tri Glide 10;the prices on the 660 are staring to drop a little becuase the 665 will be comming out in a week or two. I could not justify 1k for the 665 so I went with the 660 for $609.00. I plan on trying the stock mount for awhile but may go with the dash mount?

I had a Garmin 60 Cx. It was great. It started acting up and turning off on it's own. I returned it to REI and got my money back after 5 years of use. I bought a Garmin 265. I stuck the mount to the lower windshield. I could see it pretty well, except if the sun was shinning on it. The fingerprints also made it worse.
I went back to REI and got another Garmin 60 CSX. It does great. I did a trip across the USA last fall and the GPS help a lot. I got a cigarette lighter charger and ran the wire under the tank to the windshield. I also get a handlebar mount for the bike and a dash mount for the truck.

Zumo 660 is the best GPS I have used. I have the HD branded version. Lots of features.

Use the Garmin 660 on TG and in rental cars when traveling for business (personal car is built-in). Mounted on left handle bar. Very easy to switch! Love it!! Also have the FM traffic antenna on TG. Mount that at base of windshield and behind the three fairing pouches.

I love the 660. I have the hard wired mount on my trike and hard wired the car mount on my truck. Just push a button to switch.
Do you get many unwanted advertisements with the traffic antenna? Is the traffic option accurate and useful?
