Default Will a 2002 TLE Sidecar fit a 2000 FLHT?

Are there any special modifications required to fit a 2002 HD sidecar to a 2000 FLHT? Thanks in advance for any feedback, Dave

None if you have the right mounting kit.

Thanks for the reply, it should be a fairly straightforward installation, I think.

You should try to find a sidecar service manual. It has the installation instructions for mounting, including brakes, electrical and alignment. Good luck!

You can often find these on ebay...or get one from your local stealership.

I've got a 1997 TLE mounted to a 2008 Ultra Classic. Worked fine and did the install myself with the instructions that came with the mounting kit from Harley. The only thing I can advise is that you should look into raking your forks to make the steering a bit easier. It's not that difficult to steer but the extra rake would be nice.
Good luck!

Thanks for all the responses, I did get a manual from an ebay listing and I think it tells me all I need to know. The install should start pretty soon.

Good luck! I tried picking the brain of a few HD mechanics that has set them up over the years as well so if your local dealer has set any up they might be able to help you out too.
