Default 2004 Ultra Classic Lehman Trike project

I started a blog http://cycleshackmd.webs.com/apps/blog/ about our Lehman Trike conversion, it is new to me, but the guys i'm working with have built dozens of them over the years so its great to watch them get underway on a new project. We just got started today and the donor bike looked really clean it's gonna be a really nice touring trike.

We have a pretty little Lehman Sportster in the shop too now.

...and the owner's wife's trike will be up at the show in Timonium, MD this weekend, it's really nice and the paint is pretty amazingly detailed, so much canvas on those trike fenders to let the imagination go wild if you want to

i'll update the blog every couple days or so, and check in her too

That's going to be sharp. The trikes already assembled look great.

Good Luck....I have been through this myself. Some good photos of the axle-flange and brake system would be interesting. I am wondering if Lehman has moved away from the Ford 8.8 flange pattern and the 4 x 4.25 lug pattern on the newer conversions. I can see the rear is assembled from looking in the packing crate. I'm wondering how close the overall design is to the TG.

Body and fenders on the TG are seperate, otherwise they are very simalar. Trunk is the same, side covers are also the same.

Brake lines

updated the shop blog, and hope to fit the body tonight....check it out:

Looks like they haven't changed things much over the past several years, but I do believe they have changed the axle tube flange pattern. On the earlier kits...they used the 8.8 Ford pattern. I came across a pair of TG caliper brackets the other day and they come no where near fitting the older 8.8 flange pattern.

If you get a chance....I'd like to see a close-up picture of the "backside" of the rotor and caliper so I can see the axle flange pattern.

Lookin' good!

Looks GOOD Rocker. My old Lehman/Ultra girl has a lot of battle-scars on her. Yours makes me want to go out and paint mine, but I call all those little marks on mine ..."character".

Congratulations!
