The wife has a 883L and wants to put a sidecar on it. I'm looking for some input. There is a place in North Texas that makes custom sidecars for Sportsters and other models. I want to know if anyone has a sidecar or knows someone who does and what thier thoughts are on this.

I have a friend who has a couple and loves them. They aren't "motorcycles" any more and won't ride & handle like one but they can be a lot of fun. Freedom Sidecars is a good place for info.

 

Sidecars are sweet. Once I was googling if anyone put one on an iron 883. I did find one that was a bolt on. No idea on the info since it was a long time ago. But they are out there.

There is a 3-wheeler forum here on HDF, so call in there to see what they are up to. I suspect there may be a dedicated sidecar forum out there somewhere. And here is one, which is pretty darned obvious: United Sidecar Association!

 

There was a guy on here that side cared his sporty.........looked pretty sweet. Search Im sure youll find it.

as mentioned CSM aka FreedomSidecars owner will help anyone with advice, Claude has seen it all + done it all. they build from scratch aluminum or steel bodied "chairs" + have or fabricate proper mounts. they install other brands as well, Claude is honest + reasonable
