I went to my local HD dealer a couple of weeks back for a service seminar and they had a Street torn apart getting it ready for the competition. Stripped of it's body work I became a lot more impressed with the construction of the bike. The opposite is true of many bikes. Take the body work off and it exposes where all of the corners were cut.
