Default A new convert from the dark side.

For anyone interested, I just put up another video. This is a friend of mine who had a crotch rocket. He got stopped by the sheriff deputy last month doing 163 in a 55 zone on a country road.
They told him if they wrote him a ticket they would have to take him to jail.
He knew he had to change his habits and bike. He rode a friends Sportster for a couple of weeks to see if he liked Harleys, he was not real impressed.
We went bike shopping Thursday (Honda, Indian, etc) and told me he did not want to stop at HD, I said I needed to pick up an oil filter and we stopped there first.

I went inside to get my filter, and when I came out he was test riding bikes.
We rode home with this bike, it is bad ***.
He loves it, and I mean loves it, he gets the sensation of speed that he is addicted to, yet is not tempted to get ridiculous.
so....here is our first ride home from work the next day.

If you remember I also had the Mudding on my Harley video.
For those who did not see it.

Looks like he found a nice bike to start his Harley ownership on.

NDBadlands, like I said, he knew and we knew he had to get off the sport bike, my worry was that he would get the Harley and feel he had made a mistake, well the Harley gets so much attention, well to say it mildly he is very tickled.
Only one problem, he loves the pipes and he has the nervous right hand at stop lights and when stopped or going slow. I don't know how to tell him..........
Ahh guess we all went through that stage.

It took a little while for me to get used to the way the Harley idles compared to a sportbike. It seems like it was going to stall when ever I sat with the engine idling. I had a bit of a 'nervous' right hand too.
I quickly adapted.
