First year of Duo Glide.

 

Very cool glimpse into the past.

Love the girls' tan lines too. They really knew how to sell bikes back then.

 

That brought back so many memories. I was a few years after this as a teenager in the early 60's. While I had a '47 knucklehead and a '42 Flathead, it was my second hand sportster in 1964 that brought to me the real joy of riding. I remember how many of the roads we rode on were gravel. It even brought back the memory of racing my friend on the Alfred Road, his pan and my knuckle full out.

 

That is so cool! Simpler times for sure. It was about then that I became aware of Harley-Davidson motorcycles as a six year old kid.
