When my husband abruptly and unexpected checked out of life in mid-conversation with me and without warning, I was crushed. I was able to secure a Harley-Davidson hearse and organized his last ride. At least 125 HD motorcycles signed waivers to join the ride. We had to hire 9-10 traffic controllers from LAPD who ensured safe passage on the approximately 50 miles ride. First we drove him to his HD dealership, Barger Harley-Davidson, and stayed for 40 minutes, then we drove back to where we started, Eternal valley in Santa Clarita, California. It was awesome and heart-warming to see the many motorcycles that kept on coming (in the first video). People stopped their cars and bikes along the route to take photos. When we finally came to the chapel, the many motorcycles just kept on coming.

First video is from the very large funeral procession. The second video was when he was moved from the chapel to his final resting place (very steep hills so at that time, the many motorcycles were parked on level ground.) I allowed a friend of his to ride our precious Motorcycle Guzzi, and he is the single rider in the second video.

I wanted to honor the exemplary life he choose to live, at his Celebration of Life service and on his mausoleum. Harley-Davidson Motor Company allowed the bar and shield logo to be placed on his crypt marker. I feel he's proud of the steps I took and chuckles over my lilac-themed shimmery Harley. It was his vision for me to have and I choose to continue our plans with him watching over me from above.
