OK, I'm intrigued, but don't those twin turbo Hyabusas do 220 mph with less than a quarter of the displacement? Is it that they are not production bikes? They called that viper thing the world's fastest production bike. With about 500 HP and 600 pounds of torque, I can't see why with a fairing this 8 Litre monster couldn't easily do over 300 mph.

An 08-later Hayabusa with an exhaust, tune and lowering will do 200 in the standing mile. Turbo'd versions have gone over 250mph. Some of the turbo busas are making 500+ hp though, and the bike is hundreds of pounds lighter and more aerodynamic than that V10 beast.

Not very impressive with that motor. If you want to see verified speed go to the BUB SPEED TRIALS @ Bonneville. In '09, Leslie Porterfield went 246 on her blown Busa. C Rivas got 166 out of a touring HD with faring and saddlebags, but the most amazing machine is a 50 cc streamliner that has gone 146.

Love it! The viper bike has 160 times the displacement of the 50cc bike!!!
