I had an issue with my bike like yours running to hot when at a stop and no power on take off. I have 2011 Road King that is fly-by-wire throttle. So on a 75 degree day the back cylinder would cut out to help cool the motor. I have EITMS (Engine Idle Temperature Management System) turned on. I have the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner. I downloaded the software and looked at what my bike was tuned to, nothing close to what I have. I did find a base MAP loaded that and did what the manual said. Now my bike runs cooler, stronger. So I'm very happy with the tuner. Like others said do your homework first and then decide which tuner is best for you.
