Cool 2010 Street Glide CVO

HI Guys, My name is Jazz and I am new to this forum. I am looking for some advice with a problem with my 2010 CVO Street Glide. In a nutshell it won't start ! The engine management light does no go out when the ignition is on and the run switch is on run. I don't hear the normal hum of the pump or whatever it is either. The motor turns over but it won't fire up. There are no error codes coming up on the speedo. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, but after trying a few times the motor fired. However, it won't fire up now. There is plenty of power in the battery, I keep it on an optimizer. I seem to think it may be a crank sensor problem?? The bike has done 20k miles and has not missed a beat until now. Thanks for any advice you may be able to offer. Ride Safe. Jazz

Welcome from York Pa. Sounds like a battery or maybe the ECM cable or a fuse. Check the connections on the battery. I replaced my battery on my 2010 in 2013.

The fuel pump should run few seconds. If it doesn't it won't set a code either. I think the plug on the back of the Throttle Body behind the air cleaner can cause this but it usually sets a code. You may check the plug where it goes into the fuel tank and make sure it is secure. It may also have a fuel pump relay, but not sure about that. Fuel pump itself is likely bad would be my best guess. Don't think the crank sensor will cause the fuel pump to not run, and should set a code if it is bad. It can be any number of things. The service manual may give you some clues. One other thing if you haven't changed the battery in your fob, try that. They can do some weird things. I know it isn't suppose to turn over, but I have a bud with 2010 Triglide and it will even if fob is no where around but it won't start.

Swap the brake light relay and the system relay and try again. If that works, go get you another relay from HD.

It's FIXED :-))))
The problem was a faulty relay. Simples as that. £6 for a new one and off we go.
Thanks for the advice guys, you saved me a heap of angst.
