Default SEPST Basics???

Hey guys...so been trying to do my homework for tuners to accompany 2-2 exhaust and intake. I'm looking into the Screamin Eagle Pro since to date, it's the one I know and understand least about. I know it's just a module has has no interactive screen like some of the others and also has no "on-the-fly" type capabilities. But being realistic about my plans/goals for the foreseeable future, it may fit my needs. I know I'm the type that's going to get it set up right, running great, and leave it alone. Local dealer has a great reputation and does flat rate custom dyno maps for $250. Thinking this may be the way to go. So I'm guessing I'm looking for confirmation that for someone that's not looking for near term future engine mods, get a custom map and call it good, this device may be the way to go...yea?? Anything else you guys can add?

For a '14 Softtail Slim with Rinehart 2-2 and Screamin Eagle heavy breather intake.

You will be ok. If you are dependent on someone setting it up and making changes when needed, you have the right idea. It takes lots of studying and some background in tuning engines to really get the hang of it.

I agree, if your local shop (dealer) has a good reputation with the product, you can't go wrong. Do the mods, get your tuner and have them do the tune and you won't look back. Even if you want to do more mods in the future, they should be able to get you dialed in.

And I'm guessing the adjustability of the Pro makes it well worth the cost over the Street?

The non adjustability of the Street makes it worthless for anything other than a mild stage 1 that is epa compliant. No cams, not much better than the downloads.

Awesome, thanks. Had not heard of these guys. I knew Frey's has a great dyno reputation in the area also.

Is the Pro Tuner a piggyback like a PC that has to stay connected or is this a flash tuner that can be removed after the tuning is done? Guess this one is small in unobtrusive so probably doesn't matter; just curious.

The Pro tuner is a flash tuner same as Power Vision and TTS and some others.
