2005 FI RK Idle Screwed Up
I have a fuel injected 2005 Road King. Everything has been fine until about a month ago. It got cold for the first time this year and the idle on the bike went high. So much so, that I would release the clutch slightly at red lights to lower the idle. This happened on my way home form work. I went 25 miles and it took half a tank to do it. Towards the end of the ride, the idle began to drop too low also. The dummy light came on. The codes were:
P0108 Map Sensor High EFI
P0122 TP Sensor Open/Low EFI
P0505 Loss of Idle Speed Control
P0562 System Voltage Low
I cleaned the throttle body and IAC, no help. I replaced the IAC and the TPS, no help. The idle remained high. I had previously purchased a Power Commander V. It was installed but a couple years ago, I ran into some idle problems and I thought it might have been the Power Commander, so I removed it. It has been off of the bike for 3 or so years. I reinstalled it today so I could see the idle RPM. Of course, it is very sporadic. The interesting thing is that the % Throttle jumps from 0 to 30 % with the engine not running. It is the same thing at the top end, between 70 and 100%. Now the bike will not idle at all. It will not start unless I roll on the throttle some. If I let the throttle return to 0, the engine shuts down.
Any Suggestions????
