Default Engine Flare On Start (TTS) TC103?

Hi All,

I have a 2014 Wide Glide fitted up with Stage-1. The tuner I use id the TTS.

One thing I find with the Dyna is the Flare on Engine start. I have got the issue sorted out when the engine is warm to hot but on a cold start (ambient 25C) I get this flare.

I have even wound back the IAC Crank To Run Steps that cover 16C to 64C right down to 1.

I have even wound the Cranking Fuel back to 30 & 20 ms at 16C and 32C.

Anyone have any ideas to reduce the amount of Flare at Engine Start??

Fritzables.

I think you are referring to the rpms running too high at start up. If that is what you are working on I would put the Crank to Run Steps back and the Cranking fuel back to where it was. The easiest way to get it to idle down is to increase the VE in the idle area. Increase 1000 row first 3 column spots by 2. If it is showing 70 change them to 72. Do this on both front and rear. then go to the 1500 row down to the 1000 but not including 1000 and increase those numbers to where they are 4 or 5 above what the numbers in the 1000 row are. Just do first 3 columns and front and rear also. Every 14 I have dealt with does the high idle rpm deal. If you want you can send me a PM with your email and we can arrange to adjust your map for you.

Try dropping the iac crank steps 15-20%. Sometimes you have to make a big change just to see how a table reacts.
