misfire and/or backfire on Deceleration
Hello folks, this is my first post so hang with me. I have a 2003 Electra Glide that runs fine when accelarating, however, when I let off the gas I get back firing and I'm not sure why. I have checked the spark plug gap and checked for spark (with tester). Plenty of spark, however the rear cylinder spark plug was fouled. Tried swapping front and rear spark plug wires and got not spark.
So I cleaned up plugs and swapped front to back, (not replaced yet), road tested and have same issue. Another rider suggeted checking igition timing, because under load timing is advanced.
I cannot find the location of the ignition timing cover anywhere in the service manual. please help

RE: misfire and/or backfire on Deceleration
You failed to mention if the plug was oil fouled orfuel fouled. There is no timing adjustments that can be made on that bike with the stock ignition.
Best bet at this point would be to do a compression and leakdown test on the affected cylinder and compare it to the other cylinder's numbers.
