Default No kill switch

1986 FXWG , my kill switch will not shut the bike down, however, it does prevent the bike from starting if the switch is on. I do have the wire diagram in my sm but not to easy to figure out what my be backwards or not connected. opinions??

Does the bike start when the kill switch is on?

Does the bike start when the kill switch is off?

Disconnect the white wire from the coil, check the voltage with switch on and off.

It's a HD LAN bike. You don't actually cut the power with the kill switch. You ask permission to kill power. Call Dyno Jet.

Dan,let me clarify, bike will start if switch off, will not if on.Bike will continue to run in on or off position rendering the kill switch pointless to me.

OK, I`m going to study the wiring diagram...

Did you get a chance to do the voltage check at the wire that goes to the coil?
