Default Tuner??

ok trying to decide on a tuner...going to keep bike stock except for buying CVO slipons and maybe a air cleaner...talked to Fuel Motto and they said the Micro tuner would be fine but I am kind of skeptical on messing with Fuel Injection harness and plugs, unbolting tank etc..so then there is the PCV that I have had on previous bikes simple plug and play but is a $100 more... anyone think there is an advantage from one to the other?...

I can't imagine how dumbing down the ECM by disconnecting sensors on a newer close to stock bike is a good thing. I would stick with a true flash tuner and leave the piggy back systems alone.

I recently installed a Dobeck device on my Buell (there aren't many that will fit!) which is a very simple tuner, with a few adjustment buttons. I have a hi-flow filter and aftermarket muffler and it and the Dobeck helped it a lot. I get hardly any popping on the over-run now, but the main benefits are improved starting, idling and general running. If the FM micro does something similar that may well be fine.

I prefer the TTS tuner over anything else on the market. Fastest data collection. Most useable tuning tables. LTFT strategy is set up to ride not EPA. It might not have all the fancy flair and marketing as some. It don't need it.

Look at the Stickies at the top of the page. Lots of support for the Power Vision 2, SEPro and the TTS.

I found myself in the similar situation recently on which tuner to get, dealer kept pushing for the Screamin eagle tuner because if there was to be a problem any dealer could deal with it. For now I am doing intake and slip-ons, but I do have some future plans like head pipe and maybe cams. I did not like the idea of the piggy back system for a few different reasons also didn't want to keep paying dyno time. So I decided to go with the power vision 2 from fuelmoto. Main selling factor was they offer tunes for basically any configuration, pretty much lifetime support. Then if you decide to do anything more you don't have to keep paying for dyno time because the autotune system with a 90 plus accurate tune will finish filling in the blanks and no dyno required. Sure if I take it ***** out then dyno time will be needed but I'm sure the Pv2 will most likely handle the situation. Think best bank for buck at 499.00
