Some people want to ride, not sit in the garage obsessing over the minute differences in "tuning" the bike.
Good point, most good tuners can flash your bike with a license off their method of tuning for the price of the tune and generally around $90. It's your map but you have no device to modify with. Just like a dealer download but by a proper operator done specifically for your machine. certainly useful for someone who hasn't already invested in a flash tuner or has no need moving forward.

I installed a Big Sucker intake and V&H Slash Cut slip-ons with quiet baffles. I took the bike out and did notice and improvement in power but had quite a bit of decel popping.

I got the bike home, flashed the V&H canned map for that configuration and went out for another ride. There was a definite improvement in power, throttle response and all the decel popping was gone.

Another thing that caught me by surprise was a difference in exhaust sound but I can put my finger on the difference and how to describe it.
