A few general questions.
Just because we have the ability to adjust many of the parameters does it mean we should?
Do you think people are obsessing over tuning and re-tuning a pretty basic "air pump"?
In other words, when does the joy of riding a motorcycle become an overwhelming obsession with trying to make it run just a little better?
(We are talking about HD here, not some advanced engine designed for racing or high performance)

All depends on the starter cal. No, not all the tables need adjusting all the time, but when things aren't going as planned. Useful tables are real helpful. Take the stage 1 I posted up about earlier. The short pipe has a deceleration pop on long decels and quick closing of the throttle. Having 5-6 tables helps. There seem to be a table war in the advertising a couple of years ago. A lot tables got added in some tuners with no explanation or the explanation is wrong. That is why I talk useful tables.
