Would crankshaft runout be intermittent? I would it be constant and get worse?
I had thought about this, but beyond my skills and tools.
Will have to find someone to do this , but I have heard that vibration would be constant if it was the crank. My vibration is intermittent.
Just got back from a ride to day and 90% was good. Can do the same ride tomorrow and 90% would be bad.

Its a strange problem.

So here is the latest.
Out for ride today on the highway for quite some time.
At about 120kph , bike purring along fine. Then with not change in speed or riding, the bike starts running rough. 1/2 hour later stop, get a coffee. Get back on the bike , on the highway, running great for about 15 mintues, then starts to run rough again.
Feels to me like the timinig of the engine is changing. When it was running rough on the highway and i slowed down to stop, the bike was even idiling differently. Also the idle tends to go slow and faster depending on how the bike is feeling. But not all the time.
What could be causing the ignition to change in this manner?
