Default 2009 Ultra Complete Shut down of the run

On three separate rides, my bike has shut down while running the road. Engine shuts down, Info screen shuts down. 2-3 seconds later, starts back up. Will do this 3-4 times within a 3-4 minute period of time. I've check ECM connections, they are ok. Also of recent, the occasionally engine turns over hard. I've heard that is not unusual as the harmonic balance on this bike is pretty heavy. Check engine light does not come on, so doubt a code will be found. Idea?? Experiences??

I'd be looking for a connection grounding out.

Have you verified your battery connections are clean and tight?

Battery would be my first guess. Ground problem would be my next thing I would be looking for.

After the battery connections etc, I would check the relays, I have seen two cases where they caused the same or similar problems as you are having.

Part of the problem turned out to be a bad stator. After the new stator, on occasion, the information screen will bland for a nano second, but the engine doesn't die. Battery connections checked. HD service failed to tighten them.

Default Problems Solved

So HD shop installed new stator, but didn't tighten the battery cables. Tightening them solved 99% of the problem. The last problem was info screen would go blank momentarily. Problem solved when I found red supply line from battery was corroded through. I should have seen that when tightening the battery cable, but I would have thought the dealer would have also when putting cables back on during stator installation.
