Default T-Max & the ion sensing system

was just reading some threads on the ion sensing system,

and started to wonder about my T-Max. If the stock delphi system seemingly requires stock plugs for accurate reading on the secondarys , how does all this play out with the T-Max?

So I guess the question would be, does the T-Max use the same ion sensing as the stock delphi unit?

I guess this would give more options for plug and wire choice then? Or atleast less restrictive.
