tps info?
I have a 2000 RG with 128000 miles, It seems I have devloped a "flat spot" in my throttle.
when it hits the one spot it bucks, pops, and misses....could this be the TPS?
if so, how do you test to make sure?
is there anything else that couls cause this?
mine is the old mm injection system

First thing to do with any EFI issues is to check for any stored trouble codes. Next have the battery load tested, and check and clean battery connections on both sides of the cables. Do you have a tuner added to it? If so check the map. It may have gotten corrupted, and a reload would solve the problem.
Just saw your other thread on this. In there you said:
"I washed the bike a couple weeks ago and the computer got wet, after a week dying it out I got the bike running again but now it has a flatspot at low speed cruise, misses, pops and sputters just in the one spot, everthing else is good"..
Check all electrical connections associated with EFI. ECM, TPS, CPS, IAC, CKP, Injectors, etc. Make sure that they are dry, and make good contact.

I don't seem to have any codes, I have checked and cleaned all connections and grounds I can get my hands on, I am not currently using a tuner just the factory computer, but it was running beautiful before I washed it, I have changed the tps.
I used a spark inline spark tester to see if there was any interruption in spark while running...seems ok...I back probed the injector plus with a node light for the same propose and there doesn't seem to be a lack of signal at any time but while I was doing that I had the breather off and you could here it popping back thought the throat I think on the front runner..... bad injector?...idk doesn't seem to make sense that it would be, could the ecu be corroded and corrupt

well it looks like I found the issue...I threw away the book and went with my intuision...the bike has never run so good, no popping at any piont, no stumbleing in any range...better then factory...so I guess i will be keeping the mm system a bit longer...lol...but I will be keeping an eye out for carb conversion parts just in case
so what fixed it u ask? ...as simple as advanceing the tps setting...at first it was set to the voltage setting laid out in the books, and I guess thats a good starting point, but in desperation and going back to basics I losend it off and turned it...it ran worse, so I turned it the other way and it greatly improved, so I went a little more and it runs great I belive it fools the computer into richening the mix, but dont quote me, I still need to check plug colour to make sure they are good but I'm confident they should be good, I think they set it to lean in the factory.
I hope this will help someone in the future, thanks for all the input
