I drilled out the wrong Welch plug on a '97 Keihin 40mm. I've Googled and can't find much. Anyone have a good source? Thanks in advance for the help, it's appreciated.

I was rebuilding the carb when I should not have been messing with ANYTHING.

Lesson learned for a day.

 

Measure the size and thickness you need, then go from there. Which plug did you drill?

Also depending upon the size, you can cut some aluminum rod to make your own. Slice the rod like a carrot and peen it slightly. Use a little (just a little) Loctite on the plug when installing. Could also stop by a local small engine repair shop. They may have something. YD

 

It was the fuel bowl vent plug, Yank. I got it sorted out, now. Thanks so much for the help. Very helpful, and I won't forget that.

 

Ethanol resistant welch plug sealer.......Krazy Glue. Only thing I've found that will hold up.
