ECM & TSM married or divorced

ECM & TSM married or divorced
03 Electra Glide EFI no power going anywhere except headlights and tail light. No start or turn signals. Traced problem to TSM (non security bike). Installed new TSM from Harley. Now seem to have power everywhere except to fuel pump. Bike now turns over and blinkers now work. Does new TSM need to be "married" to ECM? Thanks for input.

Don't know if this will help:
They warn this takes a while so hook up a battery tender.

Fuses all good. No output from ecm. Took old TSM apart, major meltdown inside. Borrowed friends ecm off same bike and installed with the new TSM. Now bike has spark and power to fuel pump, but no start. So this indicates there is also something up with my ecm. Fuel pump is now priming but no fuel in cylinders. Possibly shorted or clogged injectors? When the TSM shorted, I think it took some friends down with it.

Ok - now that you tell the fuel story...
If the fuel was literally 5 years old, you could easily have damaged parts inside the tank. Do a fuel pressure test.
Plug a noid light into the injector harness connector to see if it's getting a pulse to fire when cranking. If you have fuel pressure, and a pulse to fire but no fuel that's the injector. You could verify by unplugging the fuel pump and cranking it with the pressure gauge on - no pressure drop means injectors not opening.
I took a tank apart that had sat for about 6 years - the phase separation was so bad the lines had disintegrated.
