PCV: choosing the correct map
I choose two maps to test because they are the closest to what my brother has on his 1999 Electra Glide, the only difference between them is that one says STAGE 1 ECM and the other STAGE 2 ECM. I first put the fist map and it was limiting the bike at around 3000 RPM by cutting the electricity. Then I put the latter map and it ran ok. So my question is, how should I choose the maps? If I’m supposed to pick the one that is closest to what the bike setup is now then that means that my brother’s bike had its ECM flash with a STAGE 2 configuration? Or I should choose a map in this case indicating what configuration I want the ECM to be when I upload the map to the PCV (in this case STAGE 2)?
BTW my brother basically has the same setup described on those maps with the only differences being that instead of the V&H slip-ons he has slip-ons from a 2007 Street Glide CVO, instead of the 203 cams he has Andrews TW21 cams.
