Default Termination of auto tune session

After an auto tune session has been initiated (Powervision), and the ignition switch is turned off in the middle of a ride, will that terminate the tune session? If the engine is started again, will the same auto tune session continue, or do you have to enable Autotune again in order to continue with the same session, or another one? Thx.

From what I understand it doesn't lose but the last 30 seconds of the at run it will stay in auto tune mode until you stop it.

MurphCC1, if I am on the road, in the middle of a run, and I only shut off the run switch, but do not shut off the ignition switch, wouldn't I run down the battery after some extended time?

I dont understand the question.......or Im not getting the joke........the kill switch shuts off the engine........you dont want to do that WHILE riding.....

When I auto tune......

Start the process........
run the bike for about 30 minutes to hit as many cells as I can.......
PULL over.......shut off bike with kill switch so as not to lose the info........
Turn kill switch back on....
Follow tuning procedures to save the info and upload the new tune to the bike.......

repeat using same map as I started with.........

Question: You run the second autotune with the previous auotune session or the original map?

I generally autotune on top of the previous autotune.

YES, build on the previous tune......no sense in redoing the original over and over.......

Default Shutting off engine during tune session

Perhaps I failed to make myself understood. When running an auto tune session during a road trip, if I decide to stop and take a break and I shut down the engine, the tune session is automatically terminated, is that correct? However, all my questions may be for naught. I tried to start the tune session today, but since I have a 2006 Heritage without 02 sensors, I get a message on my Powervision that sensors are required for autotune. So now, unless I weld bungs to the header pipes, the tune session is out of the question, correct? Thx.

Yes correct. You can't auto tune as is. Just like it was repeatedly explained to you about 50 replies ago in your lack of pv capability thread!!!
