Thinking of changing my afr from 14.0 to 13.8 to run cooler, will it help? If it will not make much difference then I do not want to waste my time hooking the lap top up and doing all the stuff you have to do to down load the new map in the ecm. I ride through the desert a lot, last year going through Mojave Desert it was 111. The bike ran hot but it ran. Any thoughts about this. At stop lights when the bike is at idle it gets hot and the temperature management is active any thoughts how to cool the bike at stop lights?

You might see a drop of 1 or 2 degrees. You might be better served by checking/adjusting the timing.

You know you can do all you want with the AFR tables or Timing Tables however if the VE tables are NOT synchronized correctly you don't have a clue what the AFR really is. The Fuel table is only a request table....it is NOT actual AFR if the VE tables are off.

It takes widebands to target those sort of numbers. I personally never trust narrow bands away from what they were designed to do, find 14.7 AFR.

If the VE tables are correct the nyour request on the fuel table will be accurate.

All these years and you still don't know how these 02 sensors work....I'm amazed.

Having good friends that design this stuff for the OEMs helps me put the important things into perspective. NB are great in a VERY narrow range.
